Training Schnauzers Requires a Little Skill
Schnauzer (detailed introduction)
It is well known that Schnauzers are relatively intelligent dogs. If trained well, they can even master some difficult skillful actions. However, because of their lively personality, many owners encounter various "resistance struggles" when training them. Therefore, if you want to train a Schnauzer well, owners must first prepare themselves mentally for a "long-term battle."
After building the right mindset, you need to develop a training plan for your dog, such as when to train what projects, and the expected completion time. With this schedule, owners can start training their dogs according to their arrangements. In addition, owners must also reserve some spare time so that even if unexpected situations occur, the training can be flexibly adjusted accordingly.
During training, you might encounter situations where the dog is unwilling to continue or acts coquettishly and cute to avoid training. Owners must not be soft-hearted. As the saying goes, "A kind mother produces spoiled children." To let your dog acquire more survival skills, you must make yourself "iron-hearted."
Of course, when the dog successfully completes a training task, the owner must promptly give rewards. Rewards generally consist of toys and treats, and prizes should be given according to the difficulty of the training. If the dog only completes very simple training, a massage is enough; but if they master some difficult skills, owners can give them rewards they cannot easily get otherwise.
After the dog learns a skill, it needs constant repetition to consolidate this conditioned reflex. If reinforcement is not performed over the long term, the dog’s established conditioned reflex will gradually disappear, and most dogs may even completely forget the skills they have learned.
