       Good teeth are very important for pets; they rely on them to chew food to help digestion and to tear apart their food. However, the problem of tartar often troubles dogs. Some dogs, due to tartar buildup, even after treatment, eventually develop enlarged gaps between teeth causing loose teeth.        Usually, regularly clean their mouths with saline solution. If you find mild tartar, you can use a clean soft towel dipped in saline solution to gently wipe back and forth until the tartar is removed.        The food fed should not be too soft; very soft food easily gets stuck between teeth. Over time, accumulated food causes tartar. Harder food also helps dogs grind their teeth and does not easily cause accumulation. Although some diseases we cannot avoid, we can still do well in preventing dog tartar if we are careful.
