 Pomeranians themselves are small dogs, and what are called miniature Pomeranians are simply the smallest Pomeranians in a litter. Essentially, there is no difference from normal-sized Pomeranians. In fact, dogs that are very small are more prone to illnesses such as immune system problems.
 Because Pomeranians look very similar to Japanese Silver Fox dogs, many dog sellers, in order to sell dogs at a good price, compare Pomeranians to Silver Foxes, making uninformed people believe that their dogs are small-sized, thereby raising prices.
