　　Owners like to dress their dogs beautifully and regularly take them for grooming. But do owners pay attention to the hair on the dog’s paw pads? Hair that grows too long on the paws easily attracts dust and dirt, or gets soaked when walking in damp or watery places, creating conditions for bacteria to breed, which can cause skin diseases. Therefore, when owners don’t have time to take their dogs for grooming, they can trim the overgrown paw hair themselves to keep the paws clean.

　　A lot of hair also grows between the dog’s paw pads. If the hair grows too long in these areas, it can cover the pads, making it difficult for the dog to walk flexibly and increasing the risk of slipping and injury on smooth surfaces.

　　The hair under the paws grows quickly, so it is best to trim as short as possible each time, but be careful not to cut the skin. Also, fix the paw firmly before trimming. After walks, immediately check if there are any small stones or debris stuck between the paw pads. Don’t forget that the pads themselves also have a lot of hair that needs trimming.

　　Use small scissors to cut all the long hair growing from the tips of the toes that cover the paw pads. When cutting, use your fingers to spread the pads apart left and right, confirm the hair positions, and then cut the long hair close to the edge of the pads with the scissors to avoid injuring the toes.
