Teach you how to distinguish Samoyed and Silver Fox puppies

Samoyed dog (detailed introduction)
Samoyeds and Silver Fox dogs can be easily distinguished by anyone who knows dogs once they grow up, but if we want to pick a puppy and raise it from a young age, it can be a bit troublesome. These two breeds look very similar as puppies, especially before two months old, but their prices differ significantly. Although people say raising a dog is about affinity, raising the wrong breed would surely be frustrating and might cost extra money. Therefore, to avoid being deceived, below the editor will teach everyone how to distinguish Samoyed and Silver Fox puppies.
1. Look at the size. Samoyeds are medium-sized dogs, while Silver Foxes belong to the small dog category. When choosing a puppy, a bigger size does not necessarily mean it is a Samoyed, but a smaller size very likely indicates a Silver Fox. Therefore, it is not recommended to purchase a Samoyed that is relatively small in size.
2. Look at the facial features. First is the mouth, which is their biggest difference. The Silver Fox has a more pointed and longer snout, whereas the Samoyed has thicker flesh on the sides of its mouth. Next is the eyes; Samoyeds have typical almond-shaped eyes, while Silver Foxes have smaller, rounder eyes. Then look at the ears; Samoyeds' ears are thicker, and their ears fully stand erect around 100 days old. So if the ears stand up early, it is generally a Silver Fox. Silver Foxes show little expression, while the sweeter the expression of a Samoyed, the better.
3. Look at the coat. In terms of color, Samoyeds tend to have creamy white fur, while Silver Foxes tend to be snowy white and glossier. As for the amount of fur, Samoyeds have thicker and softer fur, whereas Silver Foxes’ fur is relatively coarser.
4. Look at other parts. Samoyeds’ tails do not curl into a ring nor hang down but lie close to the body. The shape of Samoyed paws is similar to that of Huskies, while Silver Fox paws resemble those of Pomeranians.
