Precautions When Buying Teddy Puppies
The most important thing when buying teddy puppies is whether the dog is healthy. If the dog’s price is lower than elsewhere, then you need to carefully check whether the dog is healthy. Many dogs taken to outdoor environments may contract viral diseases due to low immunity, and such diseases carry a high fatality rate for dogs, so owners must pay attention when selecting a dog.

1. Normal appetite, eating and drinking, playing, sleeping, and elimination are the four essential needs for puppies to grow normally. Puppies that have just changed environments, foods, or suffer from motion sickness may temporarily have reduced appetites. However, puppies severely dehydrated, with latent diseases, gastroenteritis, or body pain will also lose their appetite. In such cases, prospective owners should observe patiently. Ask the store staff about feeding times, then plan visits to observe any changes.
2. No nasal discharge - pets with a cold, nasal allergies, or upper respiratory infections will have nasal discharge. After bacterial infection, the secretion may turn milky white, yellow, or green pus. Additionally, if food is expelled from the nostrils, it indicates eating too quickly, swallowing mechanism problems, or congenital structural defects.
3. No coughing - dogs with colds, throat sensitivity, polluted air environments, tracheitis, and bronchitis can all cause puppies to cough. Severe coughing accompanied by excessive phlegm can reduce appetite and nutrition.
4. Skin. Healthy dogs: soft, elastic, with normal body temperature to the touch. Sick dogs: poor elasticity or dry, or feel hot to the touch, with patches of alopecia, ulcers, or scabs on the skin.
5. Nose. Healthy dogs: nose cool and clear, no purulent nasal discharge, no sneezing. Sick dogs: nose dry or cracked and hot, nasal cavity has secretions.
6. Eyes. Healthy dogs: bright and spirited, clean, no discharge, pink conjunctiva, symmetrical in size. Sick dogs: eye discharge at the corners, tearing, conjunctival hyperemia or pale, dull eyes.
7. Ears. Healthy dogs: both ears move actively, ear canals clean, no odor. Sick dogs: discharge and foul smell or frequent head shaking and ear flicking.
8. Mouth. Healthy dogs: mouth fully closed, clean, moist, pink gums and lips, no drooling, breath without foul odor. Sick dogs: abnormal gum and lip color, bad breath, coughing or vomiting.
