May I ask how to eradicate? Pets dogs have grown bugs on them?

1. Mite disease should be treated as early as possible. The earlier the diagnosis and treatment, the better the effect. If ivermectin is injected to the dog in the early stage of the disease, usually one or two injections are effective, the dog can suffer less, and the owner will spend much less effort. 2. If the mites are already severe, long-term treatment should be prepared. At first, red spots spread quickly, then suppuration, bleeding, scabbing, and pigmentation.
For example, my dog Baobao was sick from early April until mid-June before basically improving, the pustules disappeared, but the skin pigmentation is still fading. The following photo was taken recently of Baobao; you can see black spots from her neck down to her feet, which are residual pigmentation not yet faded. 3. Mite disease is not an extremely deadly disease, so it is not necessary to go to a pet hospital for treatment, but you can go for diagnosis, and then purchase injections and medications yourself to treat the dog, which will save a lot of money! 4.
It is essential to pay attention to the dog's daily hygiene, keep the kennel clean, avoid letting the dog contact infected peers, and try to reduce the dog’s activities in unclean grasslands, especially during the high season of spring infectious diseases. Disinfection and hygiene must be well maintained. According to pet hospital doctors, mites actually exist on every dog, but under suitable conditions, mite populations multiply and erupt, causing the dog to become ill.
  5. Although there is no evidence now that dog mite disease is contagious to humans, it is still necessary to prevent infection. After contacting the sick dog, wash your hands promptly and mop the floor with diluted bleach. I also bought Segers disinfectant spray to regularly spray the dog's bed, sofa, and other areas in the house for disinfection. 6. Demodectic infection is related to the immune system’s weakness, so enhancing physical fitness is fundamental to disease recovery.
During the dog's illness, special care must be given in diet, never let the dog go hungry, and feeding frequency can be increased appropriately. An important reminder: sulfur ointment is toxic, never apply it on parts of the dog that it can lick. I applied sulfur ointment on Baobao's back alopecia areas and used Jieryin on the belly parts she could reach with her tongue. Jieryin will volatilize, so just prevent the dog from licking during drying.
Simple methods to treat mites Many friends have long been troubled by skin diseases caused by mites in pets. Actually, mites are not scary; 70% of people more or less have mites. Mites are just an inducement for skin lesions when the skin resistance is poor, and most people show no symptoms. But dogs are particularly sensitive to mites, so they are more prone to mite-induced skin diseases. 1. Prevention and health care Traditional Chinese Medicine--Dahuang (rhubarb) and Wubeizi lotion can be used for external washing and soaking normally.
Main ingredients: snake bed seed, Wubeizi (Chinese gall), difuzi, Dahuang (very cheap, no side effects) Western medicine--sulfur powder, sulfur soap, and moxidazole for external washing and soaking (cheaper, but sulfur inhibits normal sebum secretion causing dry skin and dull fur, do not use frequently). Actually, most professional products on the market have similar ingredient compositions. 2. Treatment Doramectin emulsion – originally developed for pigs and cattle but can also be used for cats and dogs.
This drug has a strong irritating smell and certain side effects; improper use can cause poisoning. Also very cheap. Coal tar – using coal tar is a very effective folk remedy; you can buy a coal tar lotion called “Zeta” in major pharmacies. This medicine is originally for seborrheic dermatitis (more effective on scalp than any shampoo). 3. Injection If the condition is serious with wounds, infections, injection treatment should be selected.
Most veterinarians now use ivermectin or doramectin injections; both are similar drugs, but the latter is the new generation. Ivermectin is injected once every three days, doramectin once a week. Their side effect can affect breeding quality, so it is best to wait six months after injection before breeding. If mixed infection exists, antibiotics can be injected, taken orally, or applied externally as appropriate. A reminder: many vets still use an antibiotic called lincomycin (cheap), which is almost obsolete; the new generation clindamycin is much better.
Some alternative remedies, not a joke Those who have had mites say it is so easy to cure? Even after half a year of continuous treatment, it is still in question whether it can be cured. Keep treating; besides ivermectin injections, wash with Jieryin every three days and bathe with the mite removal solution alternately.
Continue washing after no symptoms appear, once a week wash once with Jieryin and once with the mite removal solution, and keep giving ivermectin injections.
Keep going for half a year. If the mites persist, it can only be blamed on poor hygiene and incomplete disinfection at home. If finances are tight, you can buy the medicine and inject yourself; it is very cheap but requires careful dosage control. For 1% ivermectin, inject 0.2 ml per 10 kg bodyweight. For small dogs, buy 0.1% ivermectin from veterinary medicine wholesalers.
I use domestically produced ivermectin (the effect is not inferior to imported Mectizan; many vets just put domestic ivermectin in Mectizan bottles and charge you as if it was imported), each small bottle (2 ml) costs only three yuan.
It can be used multiple times. Haha, happy.
Mite removal solution comes in packs of 5 bottles of 5 ml each. It can be used 4-5 times. Each box I bought costs 3.5 yuan.
Dexamethasone sodium phosphate I bought costs 3.1 yuan per box (1 ml ×10 vials).
Jieryin costs 8.5 yuan per bottle, which is expensive and used up after one wash.
If you cannot buy the medicine, don’t come looking for me. I don’t want to be scolded nor waste time at the post office. I only mention prices to show you how much vets profit.
Even after complete cure, monthly medication washing is needed because the mites already exist in the environment around your home.
