Management Methods of Alaskan Malamute Puppies

Alaskan Malamute puppies are different from adult dogs, and their management methods vary greatly. Owners must master the management methods when raising puppies. Often, the methods for raising puppies differ significantly from those of adult dogs. Therefore, pet dog owners need to pay special attention when feeding Alaskan Malamute puppies. Especially regarding the precautions during feeding, owners must know these to make the feeding process simpler and easier. But what specific precautions should be taken when feeding puppies?

  (1) Two maintenance aspects and three transitions. The two maintenance aspects refer to maintaining the original pen for raising and maintaining the original feed; the three transitions refer to the transitions of feed, feeding regime, and environment. Feed transition: about one week after weaning, the feed formula remains the same as the supplementary feed during lactation, then gradually transitions until about two weeks after weaning when it can be changed to puppy feed.

  (2) The three fixed points mean fixed locations for eating and drinking, sleeping, and defecating and urinating.

  (3) Choose sunny and windless days for castration. For female dogs, castration is not required because they reach maturity at the market age and it does not greatly affect fattening. However, for eliminating females, castration is necessary for fattening.

  (4) Deworming is generally done at 20-25 days old, then once monthly regularly thereafter. Dog feces and worms after deworming should be centrally collected and properly fermented. Water bowls should be cleaned once daily.

Feeding Alaskan Malamute puppies may seem very difficult, but there are many precautions owners need to pay attention to. Owners must be particularly careful, as puppies require owners to do a lot of work during their growth process. Therefore, in management, owners need to put in great effort. With proper daily management, Alaskan Malamute puppies can grow healthily and robustly.
