Golden Retrievers are gentle, intelligent, and obedient dogs, making them relatively easy to train. As long as the owner maintains good patience and repeatedly trains them, generally good results can be achieved. During the training process of a little Golden Retriever, it is also necessary to control the daily training time. So, how long should a little Golden Retriever be trained each day? How should one train them? Let’s find out together below.

1. One Day Training Time

Generally speaking, the training time for a little Golden Retriever each day should not be too long, because Golden Retrievers are quite playful when they are young, just like children. It is obviously impossible to keep them studying for a long time each day. For training a little Golden Retriever, a long-term, short-duration training method should be followed. That is, insist on daily training, but the daily training time should not be too long. Usually, maintain about two sessions per day, each lasting 15 to 20 minutes. This will yield better results and keep the Golden Retriever interested and enthusiastic about training.

2. Potty Training

Regarding how to train a dog’s urination and defecation habits, it needs to start from puppyhood to avoid the problem of urinating or defecating everywhere. First, prepare a quiet and clean place as a fixed toilet location. Then, when the dog wants to go, take it there to relieve itself. If you find that the dog urinates or defecates everywhere, take it to the toilet spot and scold it, then take it back to the correct place. After repeating this several times, the dog will remember the correct place for urination and defecation.

3. Outdoor Walking Training

When training a dog to walk outdoors, always remember to attach the leash. In the early stage, when the dog is not used to the leash, you can put it on inside the house to let the dog gradually adapt. Once adapted, you can take it outside for walks. During walks, keep the leash tight. If you see the dog trying to run around, immediately tighten the leash. After doing this several times, the dog will understand it cannot run around randomly and will gradually get used to walking in step with the owner, quickly achieving a follow-along effect.

The above is an introduction to the daily training time for a little Golden Retriever. Training a little Golden Retriever requires balancing the amount of training. The exact length of daily training varies from dog to dog, as every dog is different.
