        Newfoundland dogs need a large amount of exercise, and accordingly their feeding amount should also keep up. It is appropriate to feed them a bit more cooked pork, but it is best if it is purely boiled in plain water; the food should not be too salty. For such large dogs, the number of feedings per day can be slightly higher to ensure there is enough amount for them to eat their fill.

        Bone issues must be carefully monitored for large dogs. If there is any injury, due to their own body size, the pressure on their bones is very great. From puppyhood, they can be exposed to more sunlight. It is also good to feed some nutritional paste regularly, and calcium powder can be added to the food to strengthen the bones and build a good foundation from an early age.
