Issues to Pay Attention to When Using Dog Shampoo
Concentration Should Not Be Too High
Because the skin's pH value is different, human body wash is not suitable for dogs. If you are bathing a dog, you need to use a pet shampoo specially designed for dogs. Of course, different shampoos also have slight differences in usage methods, so it is necessary to understand the dog shampoo usage instructions beforehand.
There are generally two ways to use dog shampoo. One type can be applied directly to the wet dog, while the other type is jelly-like and needs to be diluted with water before use. So if you buy a shampoo that requires dilution, do not apply it directly on the dog. This is to avoid excessive concentration and also to prevent waste.
The order of washing is also very important. Generally, the head is the last part to be cleaned. First, you should clean the dog's anal glands, then wash the limbs and body, and finally clean the head. However, when rinsing, the head should be cleaned first, and try to avoid water entering the dog’s eyes during rinsing to prevent eye discomfort.
When using dog shampoo, you do not need to use a lot, and the concentration does not need to be very high. Otherwise, it will not be easy to rinse off, and excessive concentration is not good for the dog's skin. The most important thing afterward is to blow dry the dog's coat, and make sure the coat is completely dry. Also, pay attention to cleaning the ear canals, as water may accidentally enter the dog’s ears during the bath.
