Issues to Pay Attention to When Feeding Dogs
Proper feeding and paying attention to clean utensils

Diet is a very important part of a dog's life. Many people may think that diet does not require much attention, but the fact is otherwise. Whether the diet is reasonable is closely linked to the dog's health. If we do not pay attention to this issue, it can have a considerable adverse effect on the dog's health.

1. The choice of food must be correct. Currently, the most common food is dog food. This is because dog food is relatively balanced, and once accustomed to it, dogs are less likely to become picky eaters. Some owners have heard that liver is good for dogs' bodies. Indeed, feeding some liver in moderation is beneficial. However, never use it as the main food, as doing so will only affect the dog’s health.

2. When selecting dog food, choose products produced by reputable manufacturers, preferably brands with certain recognition, to ensure the dog's health.

3. Besides food, sufficient drinking water is also very necessary. Dehydration can have certain impacts on dogs.

4. Sometimes owners feed foods other than dog food as flavor enhancers, which can also provide additional nutrition. We must be clear about which foods are safe for dogs and which foods can harm their health. Also, do not feed dogs food taken directly from the refrigerator, as this can easily cause intestinal discomfort.

5. Some foods are best consumed soon after opening and should not be left for too long. Food that has been opened but not eaten timely should be discarded as soon as possible. Otherwise, dogs eating spoiled food may suffer poisoning, and in severe cases, it may develop into kidney failure.

6. You can provide dogs with large bones for chewing, but do not give them brittle and sharp chicken bones, etc., as these can easily injure the esophagus and cause choking hazards.

7. Pay attention to controlling the amount of food given and do not overfeed to avoid obesity. Obesity itself is not a disease, but it causes a series of problems and losing weight is troublesome.

8. Regularly clean the dog’s bowls and utensils and take them out to sunbathe, or else bacteria are likely to breed, which is detrimental to the dog’s health.
