Belgian Shepherd Training:

Jump Training: Lead the dog to the spot where it will jump and have it sit on the owner’s left side. The owner first crosses the obstacle, then says “jump,” pointing at the obstacle with the right hand while gently pulling the leash with the left hand to make the dog jump over. Immediately reward upon completion. The height of the obstacles can gradually be increased during training. The distance between the owner and dog can also be progressively lengthened.

Heel Training: To have the dog walk close on the leash, it should be positioned on the left side, with the right hand gently guiding at the waist until the dog is in the appropriate position. Have the dog follow at a slight distance, give the command “heel,” and guide while walking. Rewards can be given for excellent performance. If the dog fails to maintain the correct position during training, immediately make a sharp turn and give the command “heel” to correct it.
