How to Train an Akita to Guard the House Alone
Akita Dog
Every dog has the ability to guard the home, but some dogs lose much of their wild nature due to living closely with their owners for a long time. When we become Akita owners, we also hope that when the Akita is alone at home, it can guard our house. This is the happiest part of raising an Akita, as it makes us feel safe even when we go out. So how can we train an Akita to guard the house alone?
Dogs rummaging through the trash bin is a way to vent their dissatisfaction about being left alone at home. To make the dog behave obediently while guarding the home, you can cleverly use a toy "nest head tower." First, in front of the dog, smear dog canned food or other pasty, dog-favorite treats on the inner wall of the nest head tower and place it where the dog can see it. Then change clothes and prepare to go out. Before leaving, hand the toy to the dog. Generally speaking, dogs feel loneliest during the first 30 minutes after people leave the home. Having the nest head tower during those 30 minutes will make the dog lick the food smeared inside desperately, thus forgetting to be naughty.
To prevent the Akita from being naughty, people living alone or those frequently going out often leave the dog alone at home to guard the house. Your beloved dog can behave obediently and not be naughty when alone at home.
Every pet dog deserves training, and Akitas are no exception. Akitas can also find joy in training. Believe that the Akita can bring you many surprises; this is also the happiness and pleasure of raising an Akita. (Source: PetsZone)
