How to Train a Deer Dog? Key Points for Deer Dog Training
Raising a dog at home is a common practice for many urban youths. Having a dog to accompany your free weekend time and taking it out for a walk is quite enjoyable. Generally, young people raise small dogs, like Toy Poodles and others. There are also some Chihuahuas, but relatively fewer. However, there is a hybrid Chihuahua breed that many people may not know about, which is the Deer Dog.
The Deer Dog, named because it looks very much like a little deer, is a small dog originally from Germany and surrounding areas. It is a new breed produced by crossing Chihuahuas with another type of dog! This kind of small dog is very easy to train and is a pet that many people like!
So if your family has a Deer Dog, how should you raise or train it? I have raised one, so I’ll share with you how to train a Deer Dog!
First, choose the right time to train the Deer Dog. The best time is when it is lively and wants to move around. If you take it to train just after it wakes up in the morning, the dog will ignore you and act strangely!
Also, since Deer Dogs are relatively playful, training must be done at home. Taking them outside for training won’t work well because there are too many distractions outside! Most dogs can’t handle that!
Then, when training the Deer Dog, you need to carry food on you as a reward for the dog. For example, if you want to train the dog to lie down, you first press the Deer Dog down, saying "lie down." If the dog doesn’t get up, give it some food as a reward. Repeat this often, and in about 10 days it will learn. When you tell it to lie down, the Deer Dog will do so because it is very smart!
Also, no matter how you train it, remember to strengthen the training so it won’t forget, or it will be awkward! And always treat your cute Deer Dog well! Even if the training doesn’t go well, don’t hit or scold it! Just let it remember the lesson well enough.
