How to Judge the Quality of a Black Poodle? Pay Attention to These Features
Poodles are popular in the minds of many people. Poodles are smart and beautiful, with elegant temperament. More and more people choose to raise a poodle, but because there are many poodle breeds, most are crossbreeds, so the coat colors of ordinary poodles are not very pure. Purebred poodles have more uniform coats, generally black, white, brown, etc. So the question arises: how do you distinguish the quality of a black poodle?
First, we can look at the facial features. High-quality poodles have eyes, nose, mouth, and eye lines that are pure black. If other colors appear, the quality is relatively lower. We can also judge by observing the poodle's coat. A quality black poodle’s coat is uniform and does not have other colors. The purer the color, the better the dog's quality.
Second, observing the dog's body shape can also reveal the quality of the poodle. For example, by measuring the dog's body proportions, if a poodle’s body is square-shaped, it is a purebred poodle. Thus, the closer the dog’s body shape is to square, the better its quality.
Finally, there is one of the most intuitive features to identify the quality of a poodle, which is to look at the dog’s tail. It is well-known that a dog’s tail is a sign of its emotional expression. Generally, when the dog feels wronged or scared, its tail is usually tucked down, while an energetic dog’s tail is usually raised upwards. So if the dog's tail is raised upwards, the quality is generally not bad. In fact, judging a dog’s quality by the tail applies not only to poodles but to other breeds as well.
Choosing a poodle with good quality can better help breed excellent lines, so you should carefully observe and pay attention during the selection process. Of course, once you choose a dog you like to raise, you should be responsible for the dog itself. Do not abandon the dog because of quality issues!
