How to Choose Safe Toys for Dogs
Samoyed (Detailed Introduction)
Toys are the best things to help dogs relieve loneliness, and playing toys together with the owner can strengthen emotional communication. However, accidents with dogs playing toys are not uncommon. So what kind of toys are relatively safe for your dog?
When dogs play with toys, they more or less bite them, and some even shake their heads and toss the toys continuously, as if the toy is their mortal enemy. This is actually an expression of their nature, as they are virtually practicing aggressive biting. If the toy is not sturdy, such biting can completely "tear the toy to pieces." These fragments may become "invisible killers" that threaten the dog's life. Once these fragments get stuck in the dog's throat, it may lead to death. Based on the principle of letting dogs play happily and owners feel at ease, the toys prepared for dogs should be durable ones made of hard rubber or nylon that are not easy to bite apart.
For dogs with less intense biting desires, the owner can try giving them canvas or plush toys. These toys are relatively soft and not easily torn apart. For dogs that have no aggressive biting behavior at all, soft rubber toys can be given—although this kind of "peaceful ambassador" dog is rare.
When buying a new toy for your dog, you should observe its reaction to the new toy. If the dog bites the toy fiercely and the toy is not sturdy and easily torn apart, it is better to remove this toy early and buy a sturdier, more durable one for it.
