Bathing a Cocker Spaniel

When bathing a Cocker Spaniel, you should first prepare some bathing essentials. For example, a basin (one that can accommodate a Cocker Spaniel), dog-specific shampoo, enough warm water, a comb, towels, and a blow dryer. (Before bathing your Cocker Spaniel, you should comb its hair first, which can save a lot of unnecessary trouble and make the entire bathing process smoother.)
Pour enough warm water into the basin and check whether the water temperature is suitable by putting the dog's paws into the water. If the dog is not resistant or nervous, it means the water temperature is appropriate and you can officially bathe the Cocker Spaniel.
Wet the entire body of the Cocker Spaniel with water, taking care not to get water into the dog's eyes and ears. Then apply some shampoo onto the dog's body. Use both hands to gently massage the dog's body. Make sure to thoroughly clean areas such as the abdomen, legs, neck, ears, and buttocks.
After massaging, rinse the Cocker Spaniel's body with clean water. After washing thoroughly, dry with a towel, and finally use a blow dryer to completely dry the dog’s damp fur. This way, the Cocker Spaniel is less likely to catch a cold or get sick.
Bathing a Cocker Spaniel should be done indoors in a warm environment, especially in winter. It is absolutely not advisable to bathe a Cocker Spaniel in a cold, damp environment. Remember, dogs do not need frequent baths, but baths must be given in a timely manner. Owners must grasp this point well.
