　　Generally, kennels can be divided into simple designed, open small kennels and finely designed large kennels equipped with exercise yards. Regardless of the type, kennels are required to be sturdy, transparent to light, ventilated, and convenient for dogs to enter and exit.

　　Small kennels can be placed on balconies or in a corner of the garden. Railings should be set around the garden to prevent dogs from escaping. The kennel should be placed on a hard ground that is windproof and not exposed to direct sunlight. The kennel should be raised above the ground slightly to prevent dampness, the roof should be slightly sloped to facilitate rainwater runoff, and the roof can extend beyond the walls slightly to prevent rainwater from dripping inside.

　　Around the kennel, there should be sunny spots as well as shaded spots. If the dog is tied up, the chain should be of a certain length to allow the dog to move freely inside and outside the kennel.

　　For easy cleaning, a detachable roof can be used. Higher-end kennels are divided inside into two rooms: one for sleeping, with warm bedding; the other larger room allows dogs to stand, lie down, and turn around freely.

　　Large kennels are bigger than small kennels and come with attached exercise yards. Inside the kennel, food, drinking water, and a few toys can be placed. The exercise yard should connect to the kennel and have a high fence to prevent dogs from escaping.
