        The Old English Sheepdog lives on farms in the southwest of England and is usually fed a mixture of mutton and beef, potatoes, corn, oats, and wheat grains. This type of food contains nutrients suitable for the digestion and glandular function absorption of the Old English Sheepdog. It includes an appropriate balance of protein, carbohydrates, sugars, fats, vitamins, and minerals. The mineral requirements are based on the substances ingested in its ancient living environment and are determined by the hereditary genes of its ancestors. Feeding should be at fixed times and places, with each feeding limited to being finished within 15–25 minutes. After the time is up, the food bowl should be taken away to enforce a habit of regular timed feeding.

        After each meal, the food residues around its mouth should be wiped off to keep it clean and tidy. Clean drinking water should be provided 1–2 times daily, with increased frequency in summer.
