Golden Retrievers are medium-sized, lively dogs. Recently, I was influenced by everyone and raised a Golden Retriever. Its name is very cute, called Zaizai. It is two months old now. Every day when I come home and see it smile at me and wag its tail, my heart melts~ It is very active, has excellent stamina, and is very smart. Dogs are generally very loyal. We have been together for about half a month now, and recently I have been learning how to train Golden Retrievers better because it is important to cultivate good habits in them. I will also share what I have learned with you~

Golden Retrievers can start training at about three months old. At this time, their bones begin to develop gradually and are not as fragile as when they were younger. Their brains also become more developed. Since dogs' brain capacity is not very large, at this age they can remember the skills you teach them. Therefore, three months old is the best time to train Golden Retrievers.

We also need to have clear rewards and punishments, giving appropriate rewards so that the dog becomes more positive. During training, we should act seriously, making the dog understand that our attitude is different from playtime. But we should not be too harsh, as this may suppress the dog's behavior. Also, when we give commands during training, the phrases must be clear. When they do things correctly, give them rewards; when they do something wrong, give appropriate punishment. We can choose to use "treats" to lure the dog when it is relatively hungry, which will better improve training efficiency.

People often have a mistaken idea that there is a time limit for training Golden Retrievers, but this is not true. So, any time in daily life is a good opportunity to train them. For example, when there are guests at home or when taking walks outside, you can train them. If they do something wrong during training, you must correct it promptly and not let them develop incorrect concepts. Although rewards are necessary, do not reward them too frequently, or it will confuse them. Overall, be more patient and careful with them, and you will surely cultivate good habits in the dog.
