Which is easier to raise, male cat or female cat? It depends on the person
The cuteness of pet cats is undoubtedly irresistible to many cat lovers. Beneath their adorable appearance lies a warm heart. Of course, some cat lovers choose whether to raise a male or female cat because each cat has a different personality, and raising them might not always be straightforward, so they often choose the cat they favor.
Generally speaking, raising a male cat means he might be more rowdy when young, especially at three to four months old, being extremely playful. If the owner lacks enough patience, it is advised to be cautious about raising very young kittens because they require daily companionship to play with. This is also the period when they are teething and sharpening their claws, scratching sofas and biting things, so owners need to watch their every move. When the male cat grows a bit older, he may come into heat and get particularly noisy at night, running wildly around the house. If the bedroom door is not closed, he will stomp over you, making it basically impossible to continue sleeping, constantly waking you up.
Female cats generally have a more delicate and pretty appearance, with eyes that are relatively slender. Their facial features are clear and attractive, giving a very clean impression at first sight. Also, female cats have smaller face contours, similar to the oval-shaped faces in humans, making them very good-looking. Most female cats have a calm, indifferent personality and may rarely show active dependence on their owner. Furthermore, female cats have reproductive abilities. As the saying goes, "a mother cat is strong," which might be a reason for the female cat’s personality. After giving birth to kittens, female cats greatly enhance their sense of territory to protect their offspring.
Although there are many differences between female and male cats, each has its own characteristics. Some cat owners do not need to worry about which type of cat to choose; just follow your heart. Personally, I might prefer to raise a male cat because the neutering surgery is relatively simpler, while it can be more complicated for female cats.
