Also known as infectious viral rhinitis and tracheitis, it is an acute contagious respiratory disease.
Symptoms
Infected cats show fever, sneezing, coughing, increased nasal discharge, nasal congestion causing breathing difficulties, and increased mucous eye discharge. In more severe cases, there can be rhinitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, and conjunctivitis. The disease progresses faster and symptoms are more severe in kittens; pregnant cats infected may have a risk of miscarriage.
