What Does a 1-Month-Old Kitten Eat
Carefully raising a 1-month-old kitten is the dream of many pet lovers, but taking care of a 1-month-old kitten requires ensuring they intake enough nutrition and providing them with a complete dietary structure. So, what should a 1-month-old kitten eat?
1. What to eat?

A 1-month-old kitten can eat solid food, preferably cat food, and can also mix in refined canned cat fish. During this one month, kittens can consume more nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins, etc. Among these, protein intake is the most important because it helps the kitten gain weight and maintain good health.
2. How much to consume?
A 1-month-old kitten can be fed four times a day, with each feeding being 1/4 of the total daily amount, approximately 30-50 grams per day. The specific intake amount can be adjusted according to the kitten's weight. If the kitten loses weight, the intake should be slightly increased; conversely, if the kitten gains weight, the intake should be slightly decreased.
3. How to feed?
A 1-month-old kitten should be fed using the method it prefers, such as mixing cat food with refined canned cat fish, or placing them in one container so the kitten can choose freely. But do not put the food on the floor because kittens like to eat while lying on their backs; placing food on a chair or table will make it more comfortable for them to eat.
4. Precautions
1. Do not add any seasonings to the food of a 1-month-old kitten because their digestive system is not yet healthy enough to properly digest food with added seasonings.
2. Do not give the kitten any human food such as sugar, salt, gravy, etc., because these foods may harm the kitten’s health and may cause diarrhea.
3. The kitten's water intake should be greater than its food intake. Every day, provide sufficient clean water to keep the kitten hydrated and prevent oral diseases.
