　　Cat vocalizations not only transmit information but also express emotions, so owners can understand and communicate with them through observation and judgment. Cats vary a lot—some are quite talkative while others prefer silence. You can’t generalize, but with long-term companionship, you can understand every word they express.

　　【Cat Body Language】

　　"Cat body language" means the cat uses ears, tail, fur, mouth, and body to express its mood and desires. If a cat rubs against your feet or beside you and nudges with its head, it shows affection. If the cat rubs a scent secreted from its mouth onto you, it means it wants to claim you as its own.

　　If the cat makes a purring sound in its throat, it indicates a good mood. Also, if the cat curls its front paws inward like a duck incubating eggs, it shows it feels safe and dependent. A cat opening its mouth wide in front of humans expresses trust.

　　Cats can walk nonchalantly on high walls and jump lightly, demonstrating impressive balance. This is mainly due to their outstanding nervous reflexes and sense of balance. By slightly adjusting the position and height of the tail, they maintain body balance, then use their strong hind leg muscles and sturdy joints to jump agilely. Even when falling from heights, they can adjust their body posture midair and land gracefully and accurately.
