Understand a Cat's Inner Feelings from Three Actions
Siamese Cat
1. Friendly Actions: The most obvious friendly gesture is leisurely wagging the tail, or lying on the ground with all four paws up, waiting for you to pat it. When your pet cat wants to cuddle with you, it will rub its body against you or gently step near you with alternating paws.
2. Angry Actions: When the pet is angry, its whole body noticeably tenses up. A straightened tail and raised fur are warnings. If the body crouches slightly, preparing to pounce forward, it is ready to attack.
3. What Cats Say: A lazy and gentle "meow~" is a greeting. A prolonged "meow~ao" followed quickly by the cat staying near you may mean it's hungry or thirsty, so check the food bowl or litter box for cleaning.
Purring from the throat indicates contentment (though it may also signal illness, so pay slight attention, but this is rare). A rough, loud "me~ao" sound might be complaining about something. When your pet cat calls you, try to listen carefully. When the cat realizes you pay attention to its expressions, it will be more willing to talk to you. Over time, you will better understand its feline language.
