Training Pet Cats to Have Rules for Eating
Leopard Cat
1. You need to let the cat develop the habit of eating in a fixed place
Some cats like to carry their favorite food to a hidden, self-thought safe corner to prevent it from being taken by other pet cats or animals. Some cats carry their favorite food out of the dish to enjoy it more freely. This is a very bad habit: hidden corners are usually hygiene dead spots in the home and are relatively dirty, so if a cat carries food there to eat, it might ingest dirt; even if the home is clean, cats carrying food out will dirty that area. Therefore, when you find the cat trying to hide food to eat, you must timely stop this behavior, put the food back into the dish, or place a clean paper (or plastic sheet) near the food dish and let the cat eat on it, so the cat understands that the place you provide is clean, safe, and convenient to eat freely. This way, the cat will no longer carry food around messily.
