Tips for Training Cats Not to Get on the Bed
Abyssinian Cat
Most animals like warm environments, and cats are no exception. In cold winters, cats sneak into their owners' bedding to keep warm, making owners feel helpless and gradually causing the bad habit of cats crawling under the covers. Cats getting under the covers not only affects the owner’s rest but also can transmit various bacterial and disease infections from the cat to the owner. Therefore, training cats not to get on the bed is very important.
Many cat-loving owners are very indulgent to their cats, even allowing them to sleep on the same bed, which cultivates the habit of cats liking to crawl under the covers. While loving cats is good, loving them to this extent is not right. Because everyone knows that although some diseases do not spread between cats and humans, there are many zoonotic infectious and parasitic diseases. For example, hemorrhagic fever, trichinosis, liver fluke infection, ringworm, and rabies may all be transmitted from cats to humans. A common example is toxoplasmosis, which cats can transmit to pregnant women, causing premature birth, miscarriage, stillbirth, and fetal malformations, seriously harming maternal and infant health. Similarly, humans can also transmit some diseases to cats, affecting their health.
