Methods to Check the Health of Stray Kittens
Siamese
1. Attention:
1. If there are other cats at home, make sure to isolate them!
2. Regardless of any illness, do not medicate casually, because kittens' kidney functions are not yet developed and cannot dilute medicines; unauthorized medication may cause toxic poisoning and death.
3. Dehydration is a very important cause threatening kittens' lives.
Generally speaking, many newborn orphaned kittens are usually not sick. If they are ill, they tend to be weak upon arrival. Such young kittens that have left their mothers and are sick are unlikely to survive more than three days. However, even so, some diseases have incubation periods; for example, feline distemper has an incubation period of 7-14 days. Therefore, if there are other cats at home, isolation is a must. The benefits of isolation also include preventing the household cats from disturbing the kitten, scaring it, interrupting its rest, or even exposing it to dangers caused by adult cats, which could threaten its life.
