How to Train Cats to Pose Gracefully
Cats have soft bodies, and if they can pose gracefully, wouldn't that be the most beautiful? Lazy cats, besides grooming their fur, usually do not deliberately strike poses. However, owners who like taking photos seem to dislike this about cats. So how do you train cats to pose gracefully?
First, place the cat on a small table, letting its hind legs approach the edge of the table. Release your hands. Because the cat fears falling, it will soften all four limbs and want to lie down. At this moment, hold its chest or chin with one hand and gently pull the cat's tail backwards with the other hand. Be careful not to pull only the tail fur to avoid pain. The hand supporting the chest also pushes gently backwards to prevent the cat from sitting down. When the cat realizes its hind legs will lose support and stepping backward means falling, it will instinctively lean its body forward, straighten up, place its front legs firmly, tighten its toes, showing a standard posture with all four limbs straight and head held high. By repeating this method several times, the cat learns. Later, even when standing on flat ground, as long as we pull its tail backward, the cat will reflexively pose in the standard graceful posture.
