　　Giving medicine to cats can be as troublesome as with children. At this time, help is needed to hold the cat firmly and timely, applying force but not too roughly. Hiding medicine in food usually does not work because cats easily detect it.

　　Methods and steps for administering medicine:

　　1. Have an assistant hold the cat while you firmly grasp its head, taking care not to disturb its whiskers.

　　2. Use your index finger and thumb to grasp the cat’s head, tilt it slightly backward, and use the other hand to gently press the cat’s jaw to open its mouth.

　　3. Place the pill as far back on the cat’s tongue as possible, then close the cat’s mouth.

　　4. Gently stroke its throat to help it swallow the pill.

　　5. Method for injecting medicine: use a syringe to inject the medicine slowly along one side of the cat’s mouth.
