How to Improve Some Bad Behaviors of Cats
American Curl Cat
Humans are not born perfect, and cats are the same. Most cats will have some faults here or there, but as long as we patiently teach them, we can still see relatively obvious improvements after some time. Moreover, many bad behaviors are related to our daily feeding methods, so developing good living habits is also a way to stop some bad behaviors.
1. Sudden Aggression
Generally, cats will not actively attack us. If a cat suddenly scratches or bites itself, it may be frightened or it might dislike what you are doing, or your movements might be too rough, hurting or injuring them. Cats often confined to cages without enough toys or care will be restless, and they can also show aggressive behavior. When a cat suddenly shows aggression with hissing and ears pulled backward, it may be caused by discomfort. While playing with a cat, it might bite you, but it won't cause harm.
2. Roaming
This usually happens with unneutered male cats or poorly cared-for cats. Cats can survive without supervision and may revert to a semi-wild state. To correct a cat’s roaming habit, it is best to develop a regular feeding schedule and keep the cat indoors for a short time. Feed the cat regularly to prevent it from leaving home and wandering around. It is best to soothe cats in heat and keep close watch, as cats are most likely to go out during this time. To permanently improve this situation, neutering the cat after the heat period may lead to significant improvement.
