　　【Cause】Spinal injuries such as vertebral fractures or dislocations caused by traffic accidents, falls from heights, or trampling lead to misalignment or narrowing of the spinal canal. Depending on the degree of spinal canal displacement, symptoms may include spinal compression, hemorrhage, or even rupture. Pure spinal cord injuries without spinal canal displacement or narrowing can also occur. The most common injury sites are the vertebrae between the 12th thoracic and sacral vertebrae.

　　【Symptoms】

　　1. Spinal cord shock: It is common to see spinal shock immediately after injury, characterized by transient loss of motor function, sensory function, and spinal reflexes. This spinal shock generally subsides within several hours.

　　2. Symptoms vary depending on the site of spinal cord injury, generally including loss of voluntary movement from the injury site to the tail, decreased or lost sensation (proprioception and pain), increased spinal reflexes, and difficulties with urination and defecation.
