Why some dogs are not affectionate
Chihuahua
We all know dogs are very affectionate animals, but in life, it is not hard to encounter many dogs that become very aggressive when seeing strangers. Why is this?
Interaction with people is an innate habit of dogs, but the degree often depends on the extent of the 'imprinting' through contact with humans between 3 to 7 weeks of age. If a dog spends its first two months only with its parents or other dogs and not with people, or without truly gradually understanding humans, it will tend to stay away from people throughout its life and be difficult to train. If from birth it is cared for by people, it realizes that humans are friends, playmates, becomes familiar with human scent, shows kindness to people, and is easy to train. Paying attention to this imprinting stage is very important when selecting and training dogs.
