Everyone should be clear that Teddy is a dog with very strong sexual desire, but many people still choose to raise it because of its cuteness. After all, it has curly hair, just the right size, and it is not easy to shed hair. However, most of the Teddy dogs everyone has seen have docked tails, so why do Teddy dogs have their tails docked?
     1. Visual effect.

Previously, Teddy was a kind of hunting dog. They often needed to climb trees for work. If they had tails, it would delay many things, so their tails were docked. Although now Teddy dogs do not need to do much work, we have long been accustomed to Teddy dogs without tails. If their tails were not docked, they would actually look a bit ugly and be hard to accept. The tail-less Teddy has instead formed a kind of consensus, and merchants have no choice but to do so for profit.
    2. Fragile bones.
The Teddy’s body is very small, and its bones are very fragile. If the tail is left intact, it is easy to be injured by some accidents, such as being stepped on by others or accidentally caught in a door. Therefore, to prevent these accidents from happening and reduce the possibility of fractures, the best way is to dock the tail when it is very young.
    3. Hygiene.

If the Teddy has no tail, its buttocks will be exposed. If there is any foreign matter or abnormal condition around the anus, the owners can quickly observe and take immediate measures. This helps with the Teddy’s safety and hygiene. In addition, little Teddy dogs generally like to sit on the ground, which makes them likely to pick up some bacteria. If not handled properly, the Teddy’s tail will rot, which is another reason why Teddy dogs have their tails docked.
    4. Easier movement.
Teddy itself is very small, and the activity range is very wide. If there is a tail with fluffy hair at the back, it is not very convenient for the Teddy to move. After all, the hair on the tail is too long and is easily caught by something during activities, causing accidents.
Seeing the above four reasons, everyone probably understands why Teddy dogs have their tails docked. Mainly it is for the Teddy to move better, a habit people have always maintained.
