1. What Samoyed dogs cannot eat

(1) Frozen milk. Samoyed dogs cannot drink milk because dogs’ stomachs cannot tolerate lactose, and milk contains high lactose. Therefore, if a Samoyed puppy drinks milk, it will not absorb it, resulting in lowered immunity and diarrhea as an early sign.

(2) Meat with a large amount of fat, as well as sour, spicy, salty and other irritating foods. These will irritate the Samoyed’s stomach and are not recommended for dogs. Spices like ginger, curry powder, and chili should also not be fed to dogs.

(3) Chicken liver and such: Animal liver contains a large amount of vitamin A. Long-term feeding of large amounts of liver causes vitamin A accumulation in the body, and when the accumulated amount exceeds four times the liver’s capacity, toxicity appears. This can cause swelling, pain, lameness in limbs, even nerve paralysis, hind limb paralysis, and incontinence in Samoyeds.

(4) Never allow Samoyeds to eat chocolate, as severe cases can cause urinary incontinence, epilepsy, and other symptoms.

(5) Small bones: Large and medium-sized young Samoyeds can be fed large bones rich in calcium, but never feed chicken, fish, duck bones, especially to young Samoyeds to prevent choking or injury to the throat or esophagus.

(6) Pastries: Generally, do not feed pastries to dogs.

(7) Do not feed Samoyeds squid, shellfish, shiitake mushrooms, and other hard-to-digest foods, as they can cause diarrhea or vomiting.

(8) Foods containing preservatives should also not be fed to Samoyeds, such as ham sausages, sausages, dried fish strips, etc.

(1) Do not feed leftover food to Samoyeds

Many people think human food is very nutritious or want to avoid waste or save time by feeding leftovers to dogs. But leftovers often contain sharp fish bones or bones which can injure the Samoyed’s mouth and cause infections in severe cases. So for your Samoyed’s safety, first don’t be lazy and feed them leftovers.

Food given to Samoyeds, whether animal products, grains, or vegetables, should be cleaned and heated to prevent poisoning. Especially in summer, food becomes prone to spoilage.
