Red Poodle's Hair Grooming Care
Red Poodle
Many people mistakenly think that Teddy dog is a special name for Red Poodle, but this is completely wrong. Teddy is only a type of poodle styling. Poodles can be divided by color, but there is no breed called Teddy dog, so owners must not be deceived by those merchants!! Because the Red Poodle's hair is naturally curly, proper care is essential.
1. Regular brushing to prevent matting
Although Red Poodles are not prone to shedding, it is necessary to brush and tidy their hair regularly; otherwise, the fluffy curly hair can easily tangle and look messy. Brushing at least once a week or more is better.
2. Good pet-owner relationship
Frequently brushing your pet not only promotes the dog's hair metabolism but also makes the dog happy and strengthens the bond between the owner and pet. A major grooming trim is recommended about once every two months.
3. Pay attention to bathing frequency
Bathing and grooming the Red Poodle can effectively remove old skin flakes from the dog's skin, but do not bathe too frequently, as excessive cleaning will damage the oily protective layer on the dog's hair. It is recommended to bathe every two weeks in summer and once a month in winter.
4. Use pet-specific shampoo
Choose pet-specific shampoo containing various special ingredients. When bathing, allow the foam to remain on the dog's body for a few minutes so that the medicinal ingredients can fully take effect.
5. Do not use flea-killing shampoo
Do not use human anti-dandruff shampoos to bathe dogs. If the dog’s dandruff is severe, it is best not to use flea-killing shampoos, as these products usually make the skin even drier.
