Pug (detailed introduction)

　　The ideal height of the Pug should be 25-28 centimeters; weight 6-8 kilograms; personality loyal and gentle; physique well-proportioned, sturdy, and square-shaped, with a wrinkled flat face that can make endearing expressions. This dog possesses excellent and clean-loving character.

　　Head
　　Head is large, heavy, not domed, apple-shaped, forehead not receding. Eye color is very dark, very large, prominent and eye-catching. Globular, the gaze is full of calmness and longing. Very bright; when excited, full of enthusiasm. Ears thin, small, soft, like black velvet. There are two ear shapes: rose ears or button ears. The latter is more ideal. Wrinkles are large and deep. Muzzle short, blunt, wide, but not upturned. Bite should be a slight underbite. Tongue can only extend upward.
　　Body
　　Neck is slightly arched, strong, with enough length to carry the head proudly raised. Back short, topline level. Body short and fat, chest broad and ribcage well expanded. Tail curled as much as possible above the hip area. Multiple curls are more ideal.
　　Limbs
　　Forelegs very strong, straight, moderate length, positioned under the body. Viewed from the side, elbows are directly below shoulders. Wrists firm, neither overextended nor dropped. Paws are neither long like rabbit feet nor round like cat feet. Toes appropriately spread, black nails. Dewclaws usually removed.
　　Hindquarters strong and powerful, moderate angle at the stifle joint, hocks perpendicular to the ground. Viewed from behind, the two legs are parallel. Hindquarters balanced with forequarters. Thighs and buttocks full and muscular. Paws same as forelegs.
　　Coat
　　Coat is attractive, smooth, soft, short, and glossy, neither hard nor woolly. Colors are silver, apricot, or black. Silver or apricot should be clear, contrasting strongly with other colored markings and face color. Markings have clear outlines. Muzzle or face color, ears, ear edges, thumb marks, diamond marks on forelegs, and back markings may be black. Face color should be black.
