East African Hunting Dog (detailed introduction)
The ideal height of male East African hunting dogs is about 58 cm to 71 cm, with females slightly smaller. The ideal weight of East African hunting dogs should be 20 kg to 25 kg. Their body type is relatively large, with a slender figure.
Morphological Characteristics
Head
Long and narrow, the head is slightly wider between the ears, without arching, the stop is not obvious, and overall it appears of very good quality. The nose leather is black or liver-colored. Ears are long, covered with long silky hair, hanging on both sides of the head, flexible. Eyes: dark black or hazel, bright; large and oval-shaped; not protruding. Teeth: strong and even.
Neck
Long, supple, and muscular.
Chest
Deep and slightly narrow.
Forequarters
The shoulder blades incline backward, muscular but not coarse. Forelegs: straight and long (from elbow to wrist).
Hindquarters
