Samoyed Dog (Detailed Introduction)

　　Whether in bustling downtown areas, ordinary residential communities, or parks, we can see many owners taking their dogs out for a walk and exercise. Some people walk their dogs for entertainment, others for fitness, etc. So what are the benefits of taking dogs out for a walk?
　　1. Going out for a walk allows breathing fresh air, making one feel refreshed, which is beneficial to the dog’s physical health and promotes digestion.
　　2. It allows dogs to encounter unfamiliar external things, preventing strong fear responses when stimulated by outside environments.
　　3. Outdoor walks can be a form of sunbathing (but not sun exposure), where UV light exposure meets the animal’s vitamin D needs; vitamin D also promotes absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the small intestine, which benefits the healthy development of bones and other organs.
　　Everything has two sides—the same applies to dog walks, which also face many risks. Firstly, going outside increases dogs’ chances of contact with pathogens; various mechanical, chemical, and biological stimuli in the external environment may adversely affect dogs. Therefore, there are certain requirements for the time, place, and venue for dog walks. Hence, when taking dogs out for a walk, the following points should be noted:
　　1. Dogs should reach a certain age (generally 4-5 months), be vaccinated (can receive five-in-one vaccine), and be healthy with normal diet and behavior before going outside. Only then can dogs have certain immunity and resistance to fend off external pathogens.
　　2. Timing is generally chosen on sunny days with little indoor-outdoor temperature difference, usually in the morning and evening; otherwise, dogs are prone to respiratory diseases like colds and bronchitis. The dog’s hunger or fullness should be moderate before going out to prevent internal diseases such as intestinal rupture, torsion, or intussusception.
　　3. Avoid contact with sick dogs during outings and preferably avoid places frequented by other dogs to prevent infectious diseases, as some dog disease pathogens can survive in external media (soil, sick dog excreta, sewage, etc.) for dozens of days, even months or years, retaining infectivity.
　　4. After walking, give the dog proper water and rest. After returning home, wash the dog’s feet; if it is particularly dirty from playing, give the dog a bath.
　　Avoid walking dogs during the hot summer days; for summer, choose the coolest time at dusk to take your dog out for a walk.
