Speaking of the dog known as the “smiling angel,” it must be the little Samoyed. The little Samoyed is generally white in color. It is a breed originally from the phylum Chordata in Siberia. They are usually medium-sized, with ears standing straight up, and a head shaped like an inverted triangle. Their personality is lively and playful, their body active, reactions quick, and they have strong learning ability, often able to keep up with their owner’s pace.

The little Samoyed has gained human affection and thus frequently appears in daily life because of these advantages. Although many people raise them as pets, the quality of many raised little Samoyeds is not very high. Therefore, many wonder what is the best way to train a little Samoyed in daily life and what methods to use?

Actually, the reason we train dogs is simple: we want them to not relieve themselves anywhere, to listen to their owner’s words, and not to bark at night.

Since the little Samoyed is a very lively breed, we need to learn how to capture their interests when training. First, around one year old, we should train them to go to the toilet. Because dog waste smells strongly, we can take them to the toilet three to four times a day. Over time and with their quick learning ability, after a while, they will go to the toilet by themselves.

To teach dogs some daily rules, it is recommended to use the inducement method when encountering little Samoyeds. The simplest is to use food they like. When they do well, such as sitting down and standing up, or grabbing objects, we can give them food. This lets them associate doing the right thing with the right to eat, making training much easier.

Finally, if you want to train dogs not to bark randomly at night and disturb neighbors, targeted training is needed. For smaller Samoyeds, we can comfort them with words or actions. For bigger Samoyeds, since they know more, we can use voice commands to tell them it is wrong, and do not give them what they want. After several times, their nighttime barking can basically be stopped.
