Poodle (Detailed Introduction)

　　Poodle puppies should only be bathed after two months and after receiving vaccinations. Moreover, poodles should not be bathed frequently, as frequent bathing is harmful to their skin and coat. Below, I will tell you how to scientifically bathe a poodle.
　　Outdoor poodles should be bathed 7 to 10 times a year, while indoor poodles should be bathed once every 10 days to half a month. The skin of a poodle does not sweat like a human’s, so frequent bathing is unnecessary.
　　Bathing too often is bad for the poodle’s skin.
　　Before bathing, let the poodle take a walk to urinate and defecate, then proceed with the bath in order. Place the little poodle in warm water at 36℃~38℃, and first clean the secretions near the anus. Soak a sponge in shampoo diluted dozens of times (brand can be chosen by yourself), then wash the entire body from the head backward. Afterwards, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Be careful to avoid getting shampoo in the eyes, nose, and mouth. You may also use shower water at the same temperature.
　　After washing, let the poodle shake off excess water, then towel dry. After removing the surface water, use a hairdryer to dry completely. Because poodle hair is dense, combing while blow-drying speeds up the drying process.
　　Finally, be sure to clean the poodle’s ears, because water may enter the ear canal during bathing. Ear cleaning is necessary to prevent ear diseases.
