How to Choose a Poodle Puppy When Buying?
Poodles are currently one of the most popular dog breeds because they are lively, cute, intelligent, quite clingy, and most importantly, they don’t shed. The biggest worry about keeping pets is shedding, and poodles perfectly solve this problem. So how should you differentiate when selecting a dog?

When selecting, the owner should first look at the poodle's posture, preferably choosing one that is lively and looks energetic. Sick dogs or lethargic dogs are not suitable choices, and more lively poodles generally have better physical condition and training potential, which reduces the likelihood of illness. Besides looking at their condition, you should also check the poodle’s eyes for tear stains or excessive eye discharge. If present, do not choose that puppy. Because poodles during the puppy stage should have no tear stains or eye discharge. If these appear only after raising them, salt intake needs to be controlled, and the diet should be as light as possible; the choice of dog food is the same!

Besides the eyes, you also need to check the poodle’s body shape. It’s best to hold it to feel its weight; avoid puppies that are too skinny or too fat. Skinny ones usually have poor nutrition absorption, while overweight ones tend to eat more and may have digestive problems, so choosing a puppy with a standard body type is best! Regarding appearance, the most important is to look at the puppy’s parents because poodles are prone to color fading. When selecting, check if the parents have serious fading issues. If the parents have severe fading, it will definitely be inherited. Besides genetics, diet can also cause color fading in poodles.

There are many considerations when choosing a poodle. Previously, I bought a brown-yellow poodle, but it eventually faded to khaki, and the coat color became uneven. However, since I bought it, no matter how it looks, I will love it well.
