Dog lifespan, which dogs live the longest?
We all know that dogs' lifespans are short compared to humans. Most dogs live about 10-16 years, with dogs over 10 years old considered elderly. Dogs that live to 15 years are regarded as long-lived dogs. Today, the PetsZone editor introduces several relatively long-lived dog breeds. Take a look.

The first type, Tibetan Mastiff
Tibetan Mastiff is a native dog breed in China. Surveys show that some Tibetan Mastiffs can live up to 20 years, which is very long compared to dogs that don’t even live ten years. However, not all Tibetan Mastiffs reach 20 years old; only a small portion do.
The second type, Poodle
Poodles look very noble in appearance, just as their name suggests, they are very elegant. Moreover, Poodles are very smart and easy to train, making them great for first-time dog owners. As for their lifespan, most live between 13 and 20 years. Of course! Among poodles, most live to around 15 years, and a small portion can reach 20 years.
The third type, Dachshund
Dachshunds are very energetic dogs, their average age is about 13 years. Although not as long-lived as the previous two, they are also quite long-lived.

The fourth type, Cocker Spaniel
Cocker Spaniels are like a smaller version of the Golden Retriever (see details), but their temperament is more like the Husky, meaning they like to chew on things. Generally, a Cocker Spaniel’s lifespan is around 13 years.
The fifth type, Chow Chow
The average age of Chow Chows is generally between 12 and 15 years. But some sources report individuals living up to 34 years.
The sixth type, Pekingese (see details)
Pekingese have a long history in China and are a very precious small breed, generally living around 13 years.
