Care Knowledge of the Bull Mastiff
Bull Mastiff (detailed introduction)

Like other Mastiff breeds, the Bull Mastiff has relatively dense fur. Coupled with regular exercise, the fur easily picks up dust. Additionally, the fur tends to shed during seasonal transitions, so daily combing is essential. Below is a detailed introduction on how to care for the Bull Mastiff's fur.
  Tools:
One handle comb. This is a comb with an oval-shaped head.
  Method:
Comb from the tail toward the head. Hold the fur with your left hand, and comb with your right hand. The combing direction is not from left to right, but rather forcefully upwards to the right, with a lifting motion, similar to how people comb their hair to make it fluffy when blow-drying. The tips of the handle comb should gently touch the skin, allowing breathability and providing a skin massage effect (Note: the tips should not be sharp). It is best to have as little hair as possible in each comb stroke.
  Advantages:
  1. After combing, the fur appears more natural.
  2. It is much more comfortable for the dog compared to rough combing!
  Bull Mastiff Grooming Guide
  Trimming is unnecessary and redundant.
Regular care requires weekly cleaning of the eyes and ears, trimming nails, using high-quality shampoos with strong cleaning power and whitening shampoos alternately for baths. Fur should be combed once or twice daily to remove dead hair and loose fur to prevent matting.
Aside from daily cleaning and care, grooming does not require trimming, which could otherwise backfire.
When grooming a Bull Mastiff, it is unnecessary to perform the full conventional seven-step pet grooming procedure; completing six of the steps is sufficient.
  Seven Steps of Pet Grooming:
  1. Brushing (removing dead hair and dust)
  2. Combing
  3. Cleaning ears and eyes (plucking ear hair and ear washing can prevent moisture, otitis, and ear mites inside the ear)
  4. Trimming nails, foot bottom hair (to prevent slipping, interdigital inflammation), trimming hair around the belly and anus (to keep clean during urination and defecation)
  5. Bathing, expressing anal glands (long-accumulated anal glands can easily become inflamed)
  6. Blow drying and combing
  7. Trimming and styling
