Benefits and Brain-Teasing Aspects of the Smiling Angel Samoyed
The Samoyed, abbreviated as Samo, is praised as the smiling angel, combining many advantages such as playfulness, agility, mechanism, strength, and lovely beauty. Its cuteness is universally acknowledged—plump white body, smiling mouth, pink little paws; wherever you meet it, you can’t help but want to touch it. Gentle and cute, it is a favorite among many owners. With an intelligent little brain, don’t even try to outsmart her.
1. Benefits of Raising a Samoyed
The angelic face, charming smile, cute ears, pink paws, and clean white appearance really make people want to give it a kiss. Whether you scold it or train it, it always mesmerizes you with its adorable smile. Sometimes you can’t bear to discipline it, the pitiful yet cute look makes it very favored by owners. The Samoyed’s intelligence is incomparable to most dogs: handshakes, sitting, fetching, dropping things, picking up bottles—various tricks it can learn as long as the owner teaches it, some can even take off socks or take food. Why say there are benefits to raising a Samoyed? Because this breed is very good at maintaining neighborly relations; due to its gentle nature, it looks cute and docile but its personality is even gentler. It never initiates fights or provocation with other dogs, unlike others, it doesn’t usually pounce on kids and elderly, nor does it like to use its paws to scratch. The Samoyed also doesn’t bark erratically like Huskies. Compared with other dogs, Samoyeds are typically honest, gentle, naive, and often bullied. Their clever and cute vigor makes all the neighbors fond of them.
2. Brain-Teasing Aspects of Raising a Samoyed
Of course, with an angelic smile but a devilish mind, this home-destroyer will tear apart anything it can, bite everywhere, so easy. The Samoyed is quite large and often needs a proper amount of exercise. But if you want to firmly hold its leash, don’t even think about it—once you take it out, it will lead you to run all over the city... Since Samoyeds are large dogs, they easily injure their paws when drinking water or drooling, known as dermatitis, a small issue Samoyed owners are familiar with; if severe, it can cause hair loss. Samoyeds require frequent baths, but being large dogs, owners often find it very difficult to bathe them at home. Shedding is a common issue because all long-haired dogs shed regularly.
The above covers both benefits and drawbacks of raising a Samoyed. Of course, I still highly recommend choosing a Samoyed—it’s just too adorable.
