How do you know if your cat is fat?
1. Look from above (view your cat from a bird's eye view), its body lines should be smooth. If the abdomen bulges to the sides, it is time to lose weight.
2. Gently press the sides of your cat's body with your fingers. If you can feel the ribs, it means your cat is of a normal size. If you have to press hard to feel the ribs, it means your cat is too fat!
3. When the cat is sitting, the front legs should be able to be close together. If the front legs are not close, it means it is too fat!
