Recommendation: Fun Training for Cats
Himalayan Cat
The "come" training: teaching the to "come" is the most basic action and can generally be successfully trained.
Before training, let the cat become familiar with its name. Call the cat's name before each feeding. Over time, even when not feeding, the cat will respond when hearing its name. When the cat reacts by raising its head, you can start "come" action training.
First, place the food in a fixed spot. The owner calls the cat's name and repeatedly gives the "come" command. If the cat is uninterested and unresponsive, show the food to the cat to attract its attention, then place the food in the fixed spot again and give the "come" command. If the cat obediently walks over, let it eat the food and gently stroke the cat's head and back to encourage it. When the cat forms a strong to the "come" command, you can begin training the conditioned reflex to gestures.
At first, the owner says the "come" command while waving to the cat, then gradually only waves without saying the command. When the cat can respond to the gesture to perform the "come" action, rewards should be given. (Source:PetsZone)
