Cats fight generally for two reasons: one is when other cats invade their territory; the other is during the cat’s mating season, when male cats compete for females.
When two cats with unequal strength fight, the stronger cat deliberately raises the fur on its back to make itself look bigger while approaching to threaten the opponent; the weaker cat crouches on the ground with its ears drooping. When the two cats are evenly matched, they first roar at each other for a long time, then the two sides wrestle each other.
