Precautions for Visiting the Pet Hospital
British Shorthair Cat
1. Bring a Mat
Pets coming for treatment are sometimes required to receive infusions, but owners often forget to bring a mat or something similar. You should know that infusion tables are made of metal and feel icy cold in summer. Placing animals on them for several hours may cause them to catch a cold even if they are not sick. Additionally, when the infusion room is busy, they often don’t disinfect the tables, so placing pets directly on them is unhygienic. Therefore, whenever you bring your pet to the hospital, be sure to bring a mat. If you can remember, bringing a small blanket is even better, since lying still during infusion can be very cold! Also, it’s worth noting that the consultation room’s palpation tables are the same—metal and cold to the touch! (Note: It is recommended to use adult disposable pads, available in two sizes: 60*60CM and 40*60CM, which fit perfectly on the consultation and infusion tables.)
